Tim Sharman

Principal Solicitor

Tim holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University and was admitted to practice in both the ACT and NSW in 1998. He has experience handling complex cases of all types and regularly appears as an advocate in the Magistrates, Local, District and Supreme Courts. Tim is a member of the AFL Canberra Appeal Board and worked as an instructor for the ANU Legal Workshop for over 15 years.

Peter Dingwall

Consultant Solicitor

Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the Australian National University and was admitted to practice in both the ACT and NSW in 1975. He worked as solicitor in the Commonwealth Crown Solicitor’s Office for five years, practising in criminal and civil litigation, including Trade Practices cases in the Federal Court. He is a former District Registrar of the Federal Court and for five years was the Registrar of the ACT Supreme Court and Registrar of Probates. He was a Magistrate and Coroner in the ACT for 26 years, until his retirement in 2016. Peter is a former first grade and representative rugby union player. He is now actively involved with equestrian sports, particularly showjumping. Peter acts as a consultant when required.

Tim Dingwall is a seasoned commercial lawyer who specialises in supporting not-for-profit organisations and businesses with a wide range of legal needs. His expertise includes governance and AGMs, employment and industrial relations, commercial contracting, privacy and cyber law, not-for-profit funding and compliance, ACNC registration, and intellectual property. Tim also has experience in the film and media industry, offering tailored legal support to creatives and producers.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University. Tim served on the ACT Law Society Council for over four years and remains actively involved in supporting small community groups in Canberra.
